If you’re a fantasy sports nerd like me, baseball season is getting terrifyingly close. And if you want more data and analysis than your brain will ever know what to do with, check out these two links.
Tim Dierkes of RotoAuthority.com gives you free 2008 stat projections, which are damn hard to find. Even if you don’t trust his $ values (or his prediction that John Smoltz will win 14 games this year), the stat projections come in handy for whatever analyses you want to do before your draft.
Ike Warner has a blog called Nine Bo Jacksons where he takes those projections and uses the magic of Excel to make a pretty customizable draft sheet out of them. It’s a little complicated, but good stuff, even if he mistakenly chose nine Bo Jacksons instead of what everybody knows would be the best baseball team ever — nine Scott Hattebergs.

LETS GO METS!!! =D
Why anyone would add decades to their penance in Purgatory for the unrewarding experience of rooting for a team who can only disappoint is quite beyond me. May the Mets experience Snyderian fortune this year in their quest to buy a championship.
