New York Giants 17, New England Patriots 14. Points of interest:
- Not only did the Patriots lose, but they only scored 14 points. Tom Brady had indignantly scoffed at Plaxico Burress’s prediction earlier in the week that the Patriots would only score 17 points.
- I’ve hated Eli Manning since before he was drafted. I officially like Eli Manning.
- The Giants have one hell of a defense. Wow.
- Seeing Bill Belichick run onto the field with 1 second still left on the clock, refusing to listen to the ref, and basically grab his ball and go home saying, “You guys can’t use my ball anymore, you jerks, and my mom made brownies for after the game BUT NOW YOU CAN’T EVEN HAVE ANY CUZ YOU GUYS SUCK!” — yeah that was hilarious. I loved it.
- 18-1.
- Seeing Tom Brady storm off the field like a 13-year old who just got grounded was also hilarious. I loved that too.
- Tiki Barber says he doesn’t regret retiring after last year. Yeah right.
- Tom Coughlin almost lost his job after last year. His job is probably secure now.
- Also, the Patriots lost the Super Bowl.

What a game! It was close, had good hits and good defense, and the Giants won =).
It was nice to see Eli play so well and hopefully silence his critics.
all i can think about was that one amazing play. i’m not going to pretend like i knew anything about the giants before yesterday other than that their QB was eli manning, who was cute and peyton’s kid bro. but once he spun away from that tackle and threw the ball to tyree who made a catch that seemed like something you would only see on the Power Rangers… well, that made my day. oh, that and the fact that the Pats lost.
